Therefore you need first of all to do some research in advance to make sure that you can keep up with the grocery bill that will increase the moment you will switch to organic foods.

Regardless of the fact that organic foods are worth all the money you put in this doesn’t mean that everybody can afford it. Thus you are compelled to do some research and look for products sold on discounts especially if you want to keep up with the organic food diet. There are manufacturers of organic foods and once they are online with their websites, they offer also organic foods coupons.

Nowadays plenty of people appeal to organic food diet, and as such many stores apply affordable prices together with the great organic foods sales. Another thing that you have to get used to is the taste different from those foods with the preservatives.

Then you should start by introducing a full organic meal daily till you will reach to a completely switch to organic foods for each meal.

Eating organic foods is not suitable for everyone who decides to follow the diet but in case you happen to dislike a taste then you shouldn’t give up; try to replace with something else as there are various tastes and brands of products with various flavors as well.

Organic Food Causes Benefits Only

A lot of people ask themselves why the cost of organic food is significantly higher than the cost of regular food. Is regular food uneatable and/or organic food a delicacy? Is it a sign of snobbery to consume organic food?

First of all, organic agriculture involves using other than chemical fertilizers, nutrients, pesticides, insecticides when farming. This way the crops grow healthy and get a natural look, the pollution is minimal, and water and soil is used without waste.

Yes, such things are possible, since chemicals did not co-exist alongside with man in medieval times, and people managed to get their food supply, in most cases probably healthier food supplies than the world gets today.

A good example of natural fertilizer that’s being used in organic farming is manure. Animals residing at an organic farm get a better taste of life in comparison to animals from non organic farms. Every morning they serve breakfast, organic breakfast mind you, and in most cases they’re left to do as they please.

They roam free until sundown when they happily retrieve to the stables where they’re treated like guests- meanwhile their personal habitat has been cleaned. They are not being fed any kind of growth hormones nor are they given antibiotics. Instead they are really good taken care of.

They are also not kept in cages as chickens in non organic farms, nor their peaks are not cut off. So you see, the results including diaries- in the case of cows, goats or sheep, or meat are significantly abundant in quality, for their life is put to minimal or no stress.

We can train ourselves to spot genuine organic food by checking the label for “100% organic” written on it. When labeled “95% organic” it goes without saying that the food product contains 5 percent worth of something non organic in its composition. If the label reads “made with other ingredients” then you’re holding a product at least 70% organic. Simply labeling a product “natural” or “hormone-free” does not mean it’s truly organic.

There has been no study conducted to prove which food is more nutritious between organic and non organic. However most of non organic food contain at least some trace of pesticides. Dangerous or not we don’t know for sure, since scientists claim these pesticides are almost harmless for us, humans.

Being 110% natural, organic food does not look like on a catwalk as non organic food does, but it sure tastes like whipped cream with cherry or at least that’s what organic food advocates say.

Organic food also known as bio food is more expensive and the reason are understandable The crop yields are lower, the farming practices are somewhat slower and expensive, considering organic farmers rely mostly on working their soil with tools than with chemicals, thus the labor can be quite exhausting. Add them up and you’ll figure why the high price for organic food.

The Difference Between Natural and Organic Foods

With so many grocery stores emerging on the food market, such as it is Whole Foods in USA, healthy food started to be more available and more widespread. Though many people recon that ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ regarding these products can be changed one with the other, there is somehow a difference that you must be aware of especially when you have to go out and purchase healthy food for your dinner.

Natural food and organic food can not be mistaken one for another as there is no term to be considered legal when it comes to natural products as it is the case with organic products. In 2000 US Department of Agriculture has issued some guidelines for the producers who wanted to label their products with “organic’.

As such the guidelines suggested that no product can be organic as long as it was grown and processed using:

– pesticides

– synthetic fertilizers

– genetic engineering

– sewer sludge fertilizers

– hormones for growth

– irradiation

– antibiotics

Natural was introduced as a term by the food industry which hasn’t been regulated yet by the government. Generally speaking, the natural label is put for the foods that do not contain preservatives and haven’t suffered too much processing. Along with these features, natural foods have ingredients that are not chemicals but rather environmentally friendly.

Whenever you see a product labeled “USDA Organic” it means that this one has complied with the regulations that are required for a product to be organic. Along with the label you need to know that there re several levels to which a product can attain the status of organic. “100% organic foods” is the one that has to be 100% organic.

Another label that says ‘organic’ means that it contains at least 95% organic ingredients. The ones with 70% organic or even more are the products that are made with organic ingredients.

Although most people think there are the veggies and fruits that can be organic there are other products that can be chemical-free too. For instance, the cosmetic products, which are made only from organic components.

There are also the organic grapes that can be grown for organic wine. In fact, if you take a better look you will come to understand that tactually the organic food is the one that farmers have produced since the onset of the agriculture.

The bottom line here is that the term ‘natural’ doesn’t have to trick you as the products still have a minimal process with no preservatives that’s right, but yet not 100% organic products that are certified by the regulation institution.

Needing to enhance the state of your health or to keep it in a good shape is it necessary to go organic choosing the food items that have raised prices? The real thing here is that not too many people are aware of how many toxins they have out inside their bodies once their daily diet brought in fat and sugar, also low in fiber with content of chemicals and process treated food.

All these have caused the emergence of toxin levels inside the body which needs to work more in trying to eliminate these harmful elements. If not, then they are already absorbed causing a lot of disorders, diseases, not to forget about the cancer, too.

Therefore to try to reduce the level of toxin inside out body is more than necessary by selecting the natural foods that are lower in sugar, higher in fiber containing at the same time the necessary vitamins and antioxidants.

More than this the level of toxins can be reduced and enhance the health state through the organic food products whenever this thing is available and possible as well. It is true that organic food products are a little more expensive, but you have to consider that they have been grown without the aid of pesticides and chemicals.

Not to mention that the organic meat comes from animal that haven’t seen treatments with antibiotics or even hormones, thus the level of toxins is considerable lower than the one of vitamins and nutrients which is way higher.

If your budget allows you should go organic and following the next 5 organic foods list you can have them for you and your family in the plan of eating healthier:

1. Poultry and meats – those who haven’t given up the consumption of meat and poultry just look for the label that gives them the certified ‘organic produced’ that comes from organic farms tht have organically fed their animals.

2. Dairy products – milk, yogurt, cheese, all these need to have the label “organic” coming from organic dairy farms that have fed their animals with chemical-free food and grains.

3. Coffee – is imported from countries that do not have so strict regulations regarding the use of chemicals or pesticides. But however look for the packages that have labels of Fair Trade Certified Organic meaning that the local farmers who have grown the harvest didn’t use any chemicals to grow their crops.

4. Vegetables – for the veggies to grow unharmed by insects are always filled with pesticides. The veggies that have very thin skin or no skin at all would be very hard to have the pesticide washed off not to mention that they can easily absorb it. If this thing is possible reach for organic lettuce, bell peppers, tomatoes and celery.

5. Fruits – the ones with thinner skin or no skin at al are to be looked for as free from pesticides as possible, such as apples, peaches, grapes and strawberries.

Health nowadays is a matter that makes people be in constant search for ways that will enable them to stay healthy or to improve the state of their health. Everybody knows how important a healthy diet is, a constant physical exercise, and enough rest all of these having a deep impact on the entire state of our being. Organic food is among the products that people find them healthy and as such beneficial for the good health state.

In case you wonder how organic foods are produced you have to know that the are very strictly supervised and as such the growing and packaging are made without the use of any pesticides, preservatives, synthetic coloring and other chemicals.

The products that are non-organic meaning that they are subject to many chemicals that are not all the time supervised and checked enough to know about their effects on humans. These chemicals can be as well the generating cause for various diseases, allergies and cancer included.

One of the factors that can talk in the organic food favor is that these products aren’t injected with anything that is unreliable. For instance dairy and meat products are free from an other type of chemicals. On the other hand, the non-organic meat is produced by farmers who give their livestock various supplements even hormones to make the grow faster.

As a result the cows will also produce milk loaded with the chemicals injected. The organic foods in its turn have their diary products from livestock fed with natural food (that is free from chemicals) without being submitted to various growth hormones or antibiotics.

There is another benefit from consuming organic food that maybe not too many are aware of: it is environmentally friendly. When consuming the non-organic foods that are treated with chemicals, even the packages are contaminated and as such their waste will harm the environment.

With the organic food even the soil is clean, uncontaminated without the experience of chemicals implemented for growing. Since all the benefits of consuming organic foods last for long time it is moreover indicated to switch to these foods as a responsible and healthy act.

Producers of organic foods from other countries need a special certificate to guarantee that their products are chemicals-free. These products although the are destined to cure diseases, they are known to reduce the risks of getting contaminated and as such making the body more resistant in front of health attackers.

In the recent years the market for organic foods has evolved at a rapid pace as customers become more and more aware of the harmful effects that pesticides and fertilizers (the man-made ones) have upon the crops and as such for humans’ health. At the moment non-organic growers can use 1,000 chemicals injected in their crops, but this leads to the soil erosion and to the toxicity that can transfer into our drinking water.

The fact that eating more fruits or vegetables is not at all enough inside a healthier eating habits diet, as the purity of these products is actually what that matters. Due to the fact that food is grown and raised in so many unusual ways can have a great impact on your health.
Maybe you would like first to know what is the difference between organic foods and conventional foods. The main difference is the way how the organic and the conventional foods are grown and enter the processing.
The food that is conventional contain chemicals from the fertilizers and insecticides but at the same time they are grown with natural fertilizers. Anyway, for a food to be considered organic has to meet some standards which include:
– the food must be grown on soil that contains no chemicals (including potassium chloride, sewage sludge, or lead salts), being free from these ones with at least three years before the first harvest is made.
– food is not allowed to be modified including the use of genetically modified organisms, additives and irradiation.
– they have to be kept away from the non-organic food while they grow and process.
– organic livestock needs to be fed with 100% organic food.
– the animals should have outdoors access where appropriate exercise could be made.
Now that the organic food is defined let’s see which are the negative aspects of conventional foods. The School of Medicine in New York has performed a study to check human beings for pollutants and it was concluded that 84 chemicals were found in the individual’s blood some of them being actually outlawed for many years. This amount is considered the chemical burden of the body and it was connected to behavioral disorders and motor dysfunctions.
Genetically modified organisms can have a negative impact on health state such as unknown allergies, increased levels of toxins hence an antibiotic resistance, decreased levels of nutrition as well.
Due to the fact that many illnesses have increased, a lot of countries have undergone the method of irradiating the food in order to kill E.coli and Salmonella bacterias. Once the food is irradiated it can be exposed to carcinogens but the risks are yet unknown to the consumers.
When it comes to organic foods the benefits are plenty:
– no exposure to the irradiation and pesticides.
– this food contains more antioxidants that the conventional foods.
– they have higher content of magnesium, vitamin C, iron, and calcium, along with other nutrients.
Organic foods can be found in the majority of supermarkets and groceries and if your grocer doesn’t have it, once you ask they might be interested in supplying the store with such food unless you will be forced to go the other store which carries organic foods instead.
